Medium Cool | Uncle Matt’s Two-Hour Shower Radio Show

Live video for mobile from Ustream

Welcome to my new Eckleburg music and film column, Medium Cool. I am Uncle Matt. The column takes its name from the 1969 film titled Medium Cool by Haskell Wexler, notable for its cinema vérité technique and fictional/non-fictional content. This column branches out from my two-year in running D.C., bi-weekly, community radio show, Uncle Matt’s Two Hour Shower. This column will include music, film, and art. Tonight, from 9 to 11 p.m. Eastern, I will be featuring Dirty Projectors new album, Swing Lo Magellan.

Uncle Matt’s Two Hour Shower (Community Radio Show) | A drench in the best of highly-opinionated, innovative music mania. Uncle Matt will flood your synapse with select choice cuts of rock genres including psychedelic, new wave, punk, progressive, space rock, shoegaze, dream pop, post rock, and glam rock. Of course, Uncle Matt will also honor the occasional requests for songs like “If I Only Had a Brain” from his four-year-old niece. Additional programming includes expert musical commentary, analysis, storytelling, and recommendations for local shows and events, along with in-studio performances and discussions with special guests, not limited to immediate family, rock gods, or serial killers. But remember to bring an umbrella; otherwise, you will definitely get wet. Clean towels are available… If you miss the live stream, you can go to the podcast and access the Uncle Matt’s Two-Hour Shower Archive
